Part of the Informal meeting of the Ministers responsible for competitiveness was held also in the Slovenian Digital Center – Technology for the People. On Wednesday, 21 July 2021, the Ministers responsible for competitiveness got acquainted with examples of good practices of companies that follow the principles of sustainable production in the fields of textile and energy-intensive industries.
These European representatives that were hosted in the Slovenian Digital Center – Technology for the People by the Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology witnessed presentations from 11 companies, which stick to the main theme of this informal meeting – “Building a green, creative and smart future.” The companies Lotrič Metrology, Beti, Tekstina, AquafilSLO, Steklarna Hrastnik, EQUA, Donar, Iskraemeco, Elan and Magnet Design presented themselves with products, services and solutions that create added value by integrating elements of the circular economy model and sustainable orientations. These very principles are highlighted by the Informal meeting of Ministers responsible for competitiveness as the driver of added value in the economy. The discussion of the whole meeting, which takes place at various locations, is focused on textile and energy-intensive industries.
The Slovenian Digital Center – Technology for the People is the crossroad of Slovenian development and economic progress during the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Its connective role between companies and international economic delegations was presented to our European guests during the informal meeting and the activities of integration between Slovenian economy and foreign economic delegations have only begun. In the following months, the Slovenian Digital Center – Technology for the People will be visited by numerous foreign delegations, while various events, workshops and Slovenian innovative companies will host domestic public as well.
