Informal Meeting of Ministers responsible for Competitiveness (Internal Market and Industry)
The main topic of the Informal Meeting of Ministers responsible for Competitiveness will be “Building a green, creative and smart future” with an emphasis on the transition into circular economy and on creative industries as the driving force of value added in our economy. The discussion will focus on textile industry and energy-intensive industries. The meeting will be chaired by the Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Zdravko Počivalšek. The two-day event will take place at several locations, and the reception and welcome of the guest will take place in the Slovenian Digital Center. Slovenian companies that follow the principles of sustainable production in the field of textiles and energy-intensive industries will also be presented to the European ministers responsible for competitiveness.
Both sectors are very important for European competitiveness and each has its own specifics and challenges, which the Ministers will touch upon during the discussion at Brdo Congress Center. By exchanging views, Slovenia wishes to contribute to the creation of even better measures for the competitiveness of these types of industry in the European Union and beyond.
