Bevo d.o.o. was established with the intent of developing inovative technologies and products that will move the needle towards a more sustainable focused nutrition. After their first failed attempt at launching a plant-based burger in an already saturated market the company pivoted into the technology development. The primary technology that the company is cultivating is the technology for production of fibrous structures on the basis of plant protein. This breakthrough made it possible for the company to be the first in the world that has successfully developed the highly sought after plant-based steak. As a result of that development the company was invited to take part in Y Combinator, one of the most illustrious startup accelerators in the world. Throughout the program they developed this product further with the goal of launching the world’s first plant-based fillet mignon in the US. This is expected to take place in Q1 2022.

Juicy Marbles steaks are not grown in a lab or 3D printed, instead, the company’s own patent-pending 3D assembly technology, allows them to have full control over shape, texture, marbling, flavors, aromas, and nutrition. Their technology enables them to create premium, A5 grade marbling cuts of meat, which may cost hundreds of dollars, for the price of conventional meat. What’s more, plant-based steaks use non-saturated fats and are low in sodium.
